Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Screening Report

This section includes PDF files of the complete final Environmental Impact Statement/ Environmental Screening Report (EIS/ESR) which are available for download.  The document has been prepared to satisfy both the federal and provincial environmental assessment requirements.

The results of the Screening indicate that there are no significant negative environmental effects, following implementation of appropriate mitigation measures; therefore, BWP Wind Limited Parternship intends to proceed with the project.

Public and Agency Review Period

Under the MOE’s Environmental Screening Process, the ESR is required to be made available for a public and agency review period for a minimum of 30 calendar days. Accordingly, the ESR will be available from March 26th, 2009 to April 24th, 2009.

In accordance with the Screening Process, any persons/parties with outstanding environmental concerns about the Arner Greeb Wind Farm should raise their concerns with Wind Prospect. Concerns must be received by April 24th, 2009, and should be directed to:

If it is not possible to resolve the issue during the review period, the concerned person/party may make a written request to the Director of the Environmental Assessment and Approvals Branch as per the details below to elevate the project to either an Environmental Review or to an individual Environmental Assessment (“EA”). The Director must receive the elevation request by April 24th, 2009.

Important:

Elevation requests must be made in accordance with the provisions set out in the MOE’s Guide to EA requirements for electricity projects (available online at: http://www.ene.gov.on.ca/envision/gp/4021e.pdf), and a copy must also be sent to Wind Prospect at the aforementioned address.
